Panic buying of essentials, petrol in Kashmir amid war rumours

Srinagar, Feb 23 (UNI) People in Kashmir valley, particularly Srinagar, have started to stock essential commodities and fuel amid rumours of war between India and Pakistan.
Meanwhile, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has spoken to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and urged that the Centre comes out with a statement to reassure the people of the valley.
Long queues of vehicles could be seen lined-up at petrol pumps across Srinagar city to get fuel, following spreading of rumours.

Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha requests Dalai Lama to send Tibetan Buddhism representatives to attend Vesk

Dharamshala , Nov 10 (UNI) The Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha (VBS) on Friday called on the Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama at his palace in this hill town at Mcleodganj near Dharamshala and requested him to send representatives of Tibetan Buddhism to attend Vesk, a significant Buddhist celebration in May 2025 in Vietnam.
