Our films are a way to reflect African culture to the world: Apolline Traore

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 10 (UNI) Apolline Traore, director of ‘Burkina Faso’ said that her films are a way to reflect the culture of her country before the world. The circumstances of her country are not conducive for film making. The wars and terrorist attacks have aggravated the country.
However, the younger generation is still actively at the forefront of filmmaking in the hope of making a change, she said. The issues and culture of their country can be discussed all over the world only through the means of good films.
She was speaking at the fifth session of 'Meet the Director', held as part of the international film festival.
