Puducherry ,Apr 28 (UNI) Orders were issued to allow the seven workers from Yanam working in Hyderabad, Odisha and other areas to enter Yanam, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy said here on Tuesday.
In an audio message sent to the press here tonight, Mr Narayansamy said the workers were stopped at the border of Andhra Pradesh to Yanam citing central government orders in the wake of Coronavirus Disease (COVID 19) and the subsequent lock-down. Though, orders were there, the officials should have shown some humanitarian consideration to them and it is cruel that they were allowed to stay in the open place. The CM said that he was very well knew at whose behest this was done and added that he did not want to elaborate it at this time. He said that he talked to the cabinet secretary today and apprised him of the situation and orders were issued to allow them at the meeting of the state Disaster Management Authority this evening.
