Ola launches OPL for driver-partner engagement initiative

New Delhi, Apr 24 (UNI) Transport aggregator Ola today announced the launch of 'Ola Partners League' (OPL)- a unique virtual cricket game for its driver partners.
The four week-long contest will see Ola driver partners score runs by completing simple tasks and redeeming them against exciting prizes such as Cars, TVs, Laptops and scholarships in leading cricket academies for children of driver partners, the company said in a statement.
All-rounder cricketer Irfan Pathan and famous TV personality Mandira Bedi have been roped in to be the ambassadors to cheer and promote the OPL among driver partners.
Commenting on the launch of Ola Partners League, Vishal Kaul, COO at Ola said, 'Ola's mission to build mobility for a billion Indians is driven by its driver partners. It is because of the hard work and commitment of our driver partners that we are the leading mobility platform in the country today. 'As a homegrown company, we have been building solutions and initiatives for our driver partners and their families to enable their professional and personal growth, OPL is another step in that direction,' he added. Irfan said, 'Ola Partners League is a great initiative to support driver partners by playing a simple, yet engaging game directly from their smartphones. As the ambassador for Ola Partners League, I am looking forward to encouraging driver partners to come forward to participate and win big this cricket season.'
Mandira Bedi, TV personality and Brand Ambassador of OPL, said 'Initiatives like OPL reflect on Ola's commitment in creating relevant opportunities for the driver partners. Moreover, the initiative to identify cricketing talent within the driver partner kids is quite encouraging, as the best sports talent in the country generally comes from the grassroots. 'I am excited to be part of this initiative and confident that this campaign will yield fruitful results," he added.
