Odisha gets Rs 4572.97cr central assistance in various calamities hit the state during last 19 years-Marandi

Bhubaneswar, Jun 27 (UNI) Odisha government has received Rs 4572.97 crore against the assistance of Rs 38094.51 crore sought from the centre out of NCCF and NDRF for relief, rescue rehabilitation and restoration work in different calamities during the last 19 years.
Replying to a question of Mr Mohan Charan Majhi (BJD), Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Sudam Marandi said the assistance was sought for drought, flood, and heavy rain that severely affected the state from 2000 to 2019.
The state had sought an assistance of Rs 2257.03 crore for the damaged caused by a hailstorm,
