No need for concern about covid-19 but should be on alert’: EG Collector

Kakinada , Jun 5(UNI): East Godavari Collector D . Muralidhara Reddy has asked the people not to worry about the Covid-19 but should observe all precautions to protect themselves from the virus.
He told media persons here on Friday that people should be cautious and avoid moving in groups , besides wear masks and maintain social distance so that they could be protected from the dreaded virus. Giving out the details of the Covid-19 situation , the Collector said that so far 346 positive cases were reported all over the district of which 112 are from urban areas and 231 from rural and three from tribal areas.
He said highest number of 123 positive cases were reported from Pedapudi mandal and only one death took place that too because of negligence. Collector further said if any one tested positive they need not be admitted to the hospital and people if desires would be permitted home quarantine. Already eighty percent of the positive cases were fast recovering from the disease staying in home quarantine under doctors supervision, he added.
