Nizam-era Gramophone instrument used to record water level in Osmansagar to get repaired

Hyderabad, Jul 24 (UNI) A gramophone-like instrument used to record water level at Osmansagar reservoir during the Nizam era here, is likely to be on track as the Telangana government is planning to repair it soon.
Announcing this on twitter, Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar said “Came across this very interesting flood warning instrument at Osman Sagar on Friday.
The gramophone plays once the water level is reaching the danger mark. Each line on the gramophone record represents the actual water level. Will try and get it repaired asap (sic).”
