Patna, Mar 29 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today directed the Resident Commissioner in New Delhi to keep a vigil on assisting food, lodging and other facilities to people of Bihar got struck in other states during the lockdown period.
Mr Kumar said that resident Commissioner should appoint Nodal Officers in states where people of Bihar got stranded during the lockdown period. Care must be taken to ensure that those struck could get all facilities including food, lodging and medical care, he added.
Chief Minister said the state government was taking all possible steps to contain the spread of coronavirus infection and with support of the people, the nation would tide over the crisis. Social distancing was the key to beat the threat of coronavirus infection and it must be maintained by every citizen in their homes, markets workplaces and other locations, he added.
