Agartala, 10 (UNI) Six patients have still been untraced for two days who fled with nine others from Modern Psychiatric hospital at Narasingarh near Agartala airport before Sunday dawn evading the high-security cover.
Police registered a missing dairy and continuing search operation but failed to trace out them.
According to report, altogether 15 inmates of the hospital broke window grills of the lavatory and slipped out with impunity. As they escape to notice, the hospital authorities have reported the matter to police. After a daylong search, police traced out seven persons from nearby areas and handed them over to the hospital authority at night.
Hospital sources said, family members of two of the missing intimated that the inmates had gone back home and added, “some patients succeeded in slipping out at night. All of them pushed the already dilapidated window grills fitted in the lavatory behind the male patient ward and broke it out in pieces. We had come to know in the morning when the guards spotted the window grills broken.”
Police, however, argued that mentally instable 15 persons coming together and succeeded in the escaping plan were suspicious. As a result, all other angels have also been brought under investigation to unearth the truth.
