Gram sevak from Palghar arrested for graft

Thane, Oct 22 (UNI) A gram sevak of a village in neighbouring Palghar district has been arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000 from a complainant (villager).
Gram sevak Shivaji Gopal Dhanasure (35, of Naglegaon village) had demanded Rs 30,000 as bribe to give permission to the complainant for constructing a new house in the village and also for levying the house tax by the village panchayat.
Later he settled for Rs 15,000 for the same, an official release issued by ACB stated here today.
