Hyderabad, Sep 21 (UNI) The cyclonic storm “DAYE” over south Odisha and neighbourhood moved westnorthwestwards during the past six hours with a speed about 26 kmph and weakened into a Deep Depression and lay centred at 0530 hrs on Friday over south interior Odisha and neighbourhood near latitude 20.00 North and longitude 83.70 East, about 65 km east-southeast of Titlagarh (Odisha).
It would continue to move west-northwestwards and weaken gradually into a Depression during next 12 hours, India Meteorological Department (IMD)said in a bulletin at 0800 hours this morning.
Under its influence, Rainfall at most places with heavy to very heavy falls at isolated places will occur in Odisha during the next 24 hours.
Rainfall at many places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rainfall at most places with heavy to very heavy falls with extremely heavy falls at isolated places in Telangana during the same period, the bulletin added.
The bulletin said Squally wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph is very likely along & off West Bengal, Odisha & north Andhra Pradesh coasts during next six hours.
The State of sea will be rough over West Bengal, Odisha and North Andhra Pradesh coasts during the next 12 hours.
It said damage expected over districts of Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Raigada, Navarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri and Nuapuda districts of Odisha and added there will be Minor damage to loose and unsecured structure.
