Hyderabad, Sep 6 (UNI) The Transport Operators of Telangana State on Sunday expressed satisfaction over the assurance given to them by the top officials of the government of resolving all the issues pertaining to payment of Motor Vehicle Tax for the lockdown period due to COVID-19.
Telangana State Cabs & Bus Operators Association (TSCBOA) President Syed Nizamuddin in a statement informed that the transport operators had planned a massive protest on Saturday and wanted to park over a hundred buses at the RTA office in Khairtabad to press for the demand for the waiver of MV Tax for the lockdown period.
However, Assistant Commissioner of Police Tirupataiah immediately intervened and prevented the operators from taking forward their agitation which would have caused inconvenience to the people.
