Rameswaram cafe blast: TN police registers case against Union Minister Shobha

Madurai (Tamil Nadu), Mar 20 (UNI) The Madurai City Cyber Crime police on Wednesday registered a case against Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shobha Karandlaje on charges of promoting enmity between different groups of people on the grounds of language for her controversial remarks linking the people of Tamil Nadu to the Rameswaram Cafe blast in Bengaluru.
Police sources said based on a complaint from an individual, C.Thiagarajan of Kadachanenthal locality here, the Cyber Crime police registered a case under sections 153, 153A, 505 (1)(b) and 505(2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
The plaintiff in his complaint stated that he had seen on a television news bulletin the remarks made by Shobha against the people of Tamil Nadu.
