Telangana receives 52 pc excess rainfall during water year 2022-23

Hyderabad, Oct 1 (UNI) During the water year 2022-23 (up to 30 th September 2022), Telangana State received rainfall of 1099 mm against 721 mm of normal rainfall and it ranges from 560 mm (Jogulamba (Gadwal) Dist) to 1808 mm (Mulugu Dist) and thus there is a 52 per cent excess rainfall during this period as compared to normal annual rainfall.

In a statement here, State Ground Water Department said on Saturday, 31 districts-- Suryapet, Sangareddy, Hyderabad, Warangal, Vikarabad, Kamareddy, Hanumakonda, Medak, Nagarkurnool, Mahabubabad, Wanaparthy, Jogulamba(Gadwal), Yadadri, Bhadradri, Adilabad, Medchal, Jangaon, Rangareddy, Mancherial, Mahabubnagar, Peddapalli, Siddipet, Sircilla, Mulugu, Narayanpet, Kumuram Bheem, Bhupalpally, Karimnagar, Nirmal, Nizamabad and Jagityal districts received Excess rainfall (20 per cent to 84 per cent).
