SCR registers over Rs 200 Cr Revenue in Ticket Checking area

Hyderabad, Mar 11 (UNI) South Central Railway (SCR) has achieved one more milestone in the Ticket Checking area by registering the highest ever revenue of Rs 200.17 Crore.
This Revenue has been earned from 28.27 lakh cases booked against irregular travel and unbooked luggage. The previous best revenue earned in ticket checking area is Rs 154.29 crore in 2019-20, a SCR release here said on Saturday.
Ticket checking in Railways plays an important role in arresting ticketless travel and irregular travel and acts as a deterrent effect on regular defaulters, thus paving the way for increasing the booking window sales of Railways.
