Govt taking all steps to contain spread of COVID-19 in UT : CM

Puducherry, Aug 6 (UNI) Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Thursday said the government is taking all possible steps to contain the spread of Coronavirus pandemic in the Union Territory.
Speaking after participating in the flag hoisting ceremony at Nellithoppe ‘Our Lady Assumption “Church on the occasion of 169th annual festival, the Chief Minister said 62 percent of the affected persons are getting recovered in the UT while the death rate is 1.4 percent as against the 2.5 percent at the National level.
Stating that those above 60 years of age with some other ailment is getting affected by the virus, Mr Narayanasamy said and called upon them to be safe in their home.
