Kishan Reddy condemns attack on Hindu women in Telangana

Kishan Reddy condemns attack on Hindu women in Telangana

Hyderabad, Mar 25 (UNI) Union Minister and Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy strongly denounced the midnight assault on Hindu women in Chengicherla village of Medchal constituency during the Holi festival, labelling it as a 'barbaric act'.
Notably, some fanatics attacked and injured tribal women in Chengicherla village, Uppal Mandal in Medchal constituency in the wee hours of Monday.
Reddy, who visited the area this evening, extended his console to the victims and criticised the perpetrators, alleging that fanatics from other states clashed with women celebrating Holi, leaving many injured, including pregnant women with severe head injuries.
Expressing dismay over the delayed police response, Reddy demanded swift action and severe punishment for the attackers, urging for murder charges to be filed against them.
He accused the police of discrimination and negligence, asserting that the attackers, allegedly linked to the slot house mafia, were being shielded by political influences.
Reddy condemned the Congress government's perceived indifference towards the incident, contrasting it with their alleged support for other groups, and vowed to fight for justice for the victims.
He called for immediate closure of the slaughterhouse allegedly associated with the mafia and warned of further action if justice is not swiftly delivered.
Reddy criticised the police for allegedly targeting victims instead of perpetrators and emphasised the need for impartial legal proceedings to combat such criminal activities.
He demanded for registration of tribal Atrocity cases against the culprits and urged the authorities to take decisive action without succumbing to mafia pressure.
