Congress urges Yediyurappa to announce package for daily workers hit by lockdown

Bengaluru, May 9(UNI) Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah on Sunday urged Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa to announce a package for daily wage workers during the 15-day lockdown in the State.
In a letter to Mr Yediyurappa, the former CM urged for providing a ration of 10 kg of rice along with cooking oil. With compensation of Rs 10,000 for each BPL family, then Rs 6,000 per month.
He pointed out that during the lockdown norms, the banks, ATMs, hospitals opened but using vehicles banned and even hotel allowed parcels, but no vehicle moment, is it a Tuglak government, he questioned.
