Soon Karnataka will have anti-conversion law: CM Bommai

Bengaluru, Nov 12 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday said the state is studying anti-religious conversion law enacted by other states and soon an anti-conversion legislation will be drafted.
"The government is studying related laws enacted by other states and soon an anti-conversion legislation will be drafted," he told reporters after a group of seers met him pleading for imposing a ban on forceful religious conversion.
As many as 50 seers of various Hindu organisations met the chief minister and pleaded for the ban on religious conversion and alleged that many illegal churches were sprouting in the state.
