If imposes 30 pc trade margin cap on all medicines may slashes prices upto 90 pc : NCCI Founder President

Hyderabad, Jan 22 (UNI) : Nizamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) Founder President P.R.Somani on Friday said that the manufacturers are printing abnormal MRP on medicines as there is no ceiling cap to print MRP on medicines.
Somani while explaining how medicine’s MRP is printed abnormally high upto 3000 to 4000 per cent at a webinar on “ Save 80% on Your Medicines and More” organised jointly by FTCCI and FAPCCI, said that as on today, there is no ceiling cap to print MRP, so manufacturers are printing abnormal MRP and people are buying on MRP thinking that it is controlled by government.
Without affecting the manufacturer profit prices of medicine will come down up to 80 to 90 per cent even by putting 30 percent trade Margin Cap plus taxes on selling prices of manufacturers, he also explained.
