Telangana Tribal Minister seeks Centre to increase STs Reservations commensurate

Hyderabad, Sep 3 (UNI) Telangana Minister for Tribal, Women and Child Welfare, Satyavathi Rathod on Thursday urged the centre to increase the percentage of reservations for STs commensurate with their population.
Addressing at a 2-day National Tribal Research Conclave organised by the Tribal Affairs Ministry and Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) here, Satyavathi also sought the union Government’s help in resotring GO 3 that facilitiates cent per cent reservation for Scheduled Tribe (ST) teachers in scheduled areas of the state.
The State government was implementing all the centrally sponsored schemes , the Minister said and thanked Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda for his valuable guidance during Covid -19 induced lockdown.
