Kakinada collectors advise political parties to abide by election code

Kakinada, Mar 18 (UNI) District Collector Dr. Kritika Sukla has advised the representatives of various recognised political parties to strictly abide by the election code of conduct and regulations or else face severe action.
Addressing the representatives of recognised political parties at a meeting held at the Collectorate here on Monday, she told them that all the banners, photos, and hoardings of various political parties arranged in connection with the election campaign would be removed within 72 hours after the election model code of conduct came into effect.
The Collector has explained to them about the election schedule, electoral rolls, election officials details, forms filed regarding the 6, 7, and 8, details of polling centres, the number of EVMs, awareness on usage of VV pods, storage points, counting centres, control rooms, and the election code of conduct.
