Jagtial, Telangana, Mar 18 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi passionately appealed to Telangana voters, urging them to rally behind the BJP for the state's development, with a determined aim to defeat the Congress and BRS in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections scheduled for May 13.
Addressing a public gathering titled “Vijay Sankalp Sabha” held at Jagtial in the Nizamabad Parliamentary constituency on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commenced his address in Telugu, resonating with the local populace.
Modi underscored the critical juncture of the upcoming elections and envisioned a transformative shift in Telangana's trajectory, fueled by the electorate's endorsement of BJP's developmental agenda. He fervently called for surpassing the 400-seat mark, urging voters to cast their ballots in favour of the BJP.
Modi criticised the lack of unity within the India Alliance of Opposition, highlighting the internal dissent among its members. Referring to Rahul Gandhi's recent Nyaya Jodo Yatra in Mumbai, Modi pointed out the disarray within the opposition, citing Gandhi's remarks about his fight being against "Shakti," signaling disunity and confusion.
The Prime Minister emphasized the empowerment of women in his address, hailing their formidable influence in shaping the nation's destiny. He lamented the Congress government's disregard for women's power, accusing it of trivializing their role in governance.
Highlighting instances of alleged corruption and maladministration, Modi lambasted the inaction of Congress and BRS in addressing the grievances of the people. He pledged to prioritize Telangana's progress, promising substantial investments in vital sectors such as infrastructure and agriculture.
Asserting BJP's unwavering commitment to public welfare over political expediency, Modi vowed to hold corrupt entities accountable and uphold the principles of good governance.
In a scathing rebuke of what he termed as "family parties," Modi denounced the entrenched culture of political nepotism and corruption. He cited instances of alleged misconduct and urged voters to reject such practices.
Modi reiterated BJP's steadfast dedication to serving the nation's interests and called for a decisive victory for the NDA in the upcoming elections.
