Govt to take stringent action on those who threaten legislators : CM

Puducherry, Jul 24 (UNI) Government will take stringent action against those who spread baseless allegations against legislators and thereby threaten them, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy informed the Assembly.
Participating in the discussion on the motion of thanks to the Lt.Governor's address this evening, several members, including Welfare Minister M Kandasamy charged that the incident of threatening legislators on Whatsapp has now increased and baseless allegations are being leveled against them.
Mr Narayanasamy, who intervened said that severe action will be initiated against such people and added that he will have a discussion with the DGP on the issue and action will be taken through the cyber crime police here.
