Kakinada GGH sanitation workers go on strike

Kakinada, Mar 11 (UNI) The sanitation workers of the government general hospital here have commenced a strike from Monday morning, putting an end to 35-day protest demonstrations. In support of their demands, especially the contractor's share of PF, ESIC should not be deducted from the workers’ salaries.
They are also demanding that all the amounts till now deducted from the workers’ salaries be credited back to their accounts.
The workers, however, exempted the emergency services from their strike. At the request of the hospital superintendent, the workers union has decided to hold a general body meeting tomorrow once again to consider the proposal put forth by the contract agency.
