Telangana marks historic milestone on Dec 7: Ponguleti Srinivas

Hyderabad, Mar 15 (UNI) Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Telangana's Minister of Information & Public Relations and Revenue, has hailed December 7 as a significant day in the annals of Telangana, symbolising a day of immense self-respect.

Issuing a statement on Friday on the completion of 100 days of governance by the Congress government in the state, Reddy asserted that the administration is diligently working to rectify past mistakes and steer the economy towards stability.

"Under the leadership of Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, the Congress government is steadfast in its commitment to rebuild and rejuvenate Telangana, despite the significant challenges inherited from the previous BRS regime," Reddy remarked.

Highlighting the government's achievements within the first 100 days, Reddy emphasized the swift implementation of key promises, garnering widespread acclaim and support from the citizens of Telangana.

"In a historic move, within 48 hours of assuming office, the government fulfilled, free bus travel for women, and raising the limit of Rajiv Arogyashri medical aid of Rs 10 lakhs," Reddy stated, noting the substantial impact of these initiatives.

"In just 80 days, the Mahalakshmi LPG scheme was rolled out, providing free electricity up to 200 units and affordable (Rs 500) gas cylinders to millions of households," Reddy added, underscoring the government's commitment to improving the lives of its citizens.

Reddy also highlighted the launch of the Indiramma House Scheme, aimed at providing housing assistance to the homeless, as a testament to the government's inclusive approach towards development.

Furthermore, Reddy lauded the government's efforts in addressing unemployment, citing the rapid recruitment drives and reforms undertaken within the first 100 days.

"Over 29,000 job placement orders have been issued, and measures are underway to fulfill the election promise of creating two lakh new jobs within the state," Reddy affirmed, detailing the comprehensive steps taken to rejuvenate the employment sector.

As the government progresses, Reddy assured continued efforts towards fulfilling its commitments and fostering inclusive growth across Telangana.
