Kerala to provide Rs 3,000 to 1,59,481 fishermen families

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 24 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday said that Rs 3,000 each will be given as financial support to 1,59,481 fishermen families in the state.
The fishermen families who lost their working days due to heavy rains will be given this assistance amounting Rs 47.84 crore.
The Chief Minister also tweeted that "As a large number of working days were lost due to heavy rain in October & November, ₹3000 will be given to 1,59,481 fishermen families in Kerala. ₹47.84 Cr will be allocated from the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund for this relief measure."
