Telangana: Five killed, four injured as car rams into roadside tree

Wanaparthy (Telangana), Mar 4 (UNI) In a devastating incident, five individuals, including three children, lost their lives, and four others sustained injuries, three of them severely, when the car they were travelling in lost control and rammed into a roadside tree on National Highway-44 near Kothakota in this district in the wee hours of Monday.

According to the police, the accident occurred as the car's occupants were en-route to Hyderabad from Ballari.

Four victims lost their lives on the spot, while another succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment.

The injured individuals have been admitted to Wanaparthy Area Hospital for necessary medical care.

Police have registered a case, and an investigation is currently underway, the police added.
