Tension prevailed for some time as Gas pipeline damaged during maintenance work no damages reported

Huballi, July 20 (UNI) Tension prevailed for some time as LPG gas pipeline damaged while labourers were digging and resulted in leakage of methane gas during drainage maintenance work in Navanagar, outskirts of the City today.
Police said on Monday that the incident took place around 11.15 am while the municipality workers were undertaking maintenance work in the area.
As the gas pipeline punctured it led to the leakage of methane gas in the area. Immediately, The fire service was called which prevented further damage. Residents also switched off their main gas valve.
