UP: Four children drown while taking bath in Ganga river

Unnao, April 13 (UNI) Four children, including two siblings, were drowned while taking bath in Ganga river in Gangaghat area of Unnao district in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.
Police sources said that Zainab Bano (5), Nazia (10), her brother Raj Babu (7), Nazir (10) and his cousin Riyaz went to take bath in Ganga river at Chandan Ghat under Jajmau police outpost. "While taking bath the children slipped into deep water and started drowning," they said.
The sources said that while Zainab was rescued by the local police, the other four children drowned. "The four children were taken out of the river with the help of the boatmen and taken to the hospital where doctors declared them dead," they said.
