Srinagar, Mar 23 (UNI) Police, along with security forces, on Saturday busted a major terror module in Srinagar by arresting four terrorist associates linked with Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit.
Acting on a specific information, a joint mobile vehicle check post (MVCP), comprising Srinagar Police, Army’s 50 RR, Valley QRT (quick reaction team) and 29 battalion CRPF was established in Kenihama area in jurisdiction of Nowgam police station Nowgam in the evening, police said.
“During checking, a white car was intercepted by the joint party. Four terror associates, identified as Md Yaseen Bhat, Sheraz Ahmad Rather, Gulam Hassan Khandey (all from Lcchnambal Zafran Colony, Panthachowk) and Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat of Frestabal Pampore who were boarding the vehicle were apprehended,” a police spokesman said.
