Jalandhar, May 3 (UN) Border Security Force killed a Pakistani intruder who had crossed the border and entered into the Indian Territory.
A spokesperson of the Punjab Frontier’s Headquarter of the BSF ere said on Monday that the vigilant BSF troops detected suspicious movements of a person near the Border Security Fence in the area of responsibility of 103 Bn of the BSF in Khalra area of Tarn Taran district late last night and challenged him but he did not heed to the warnings of the troops and continued his misadventure of proceeding towards the Indian Territory following which the troops engaged him with fire in self defence resulting into his liquidation on the spot.
During a search of the area conducted this morning, the troops recovered his body besides a sum of Pakistani currency of Rs. 30 from the spot.
Pakistan rangers when approached for taking over the body of the gunned intruder, they refused to accept it after which the body was handed over to Khalra police for legal formalities, the spokesperson added.
