Alert BSF men foil Pak's nefarious designs, heroin, weapons recovered on IB in Jammu

Jammu, Sep 20 (UNI) Alert troops of Border Security Force have foiled Pakistan's nefarious design of smuggling by recovering arms and ammunition and narcotics worth crores in Arnia sector along Indo-Pak International Border here on city outskirts.
IG BSF Jammu Frontier, N S Jamwal told reporters that in the intervening night of September 19-20, BSF troops of 42 Battalion foiled a major attempt to smuggle Arms and Ammunition, and Narcotics into India territory through international border in Arnia area of Jammu.
"Acting on a specific BSF Intelligence Input, the vigilant troops of BOP Budhwar, Bullechak observed suspicious movement of Pak anti national elements near International Border during night hours and challenged them but they fired on BSF troops," he said.
The top officer said that the BSF troops immediately retaliated in self defence, adding, "however, taking advantage of darkness and thick foliage, the Pakistani anti national elements managed to flee back."
During the ensuing search of the area, 62 packets of Narcotics (suspected Heroin), two Pistols(China Made), three magazines and 100 rounds of 9mm ammunition were recovered near IB on Indian side, which were concealed in plastic bags tied with a rope and a PVC pipe, he added.
Mr Jamwal congratulated the alert BSF troops for this big achievement which again foiled the nefarious motive of Pakistan and said, "BSF is ever alert and vigilant on International Border 24×7 to thwart away the nefarious designs of Pakistan."
