Srinagar, Sep 10 (UNI) Security forces on Thursday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the central Kashmir district of Badgam, official sources said.
They said following a tip off about the presence of militants in a village in Chadoora area in Badgam, troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint CASO early this morning.
All exit points were sealed and house-to-house searches were launched, they said adding so far no contact was established with the militants.
The operation continued when the reports last came in, they said.
