Private Security Agency licensees figure crosses 1000 mark in Haryana

Chandigarh, Jul 29 (UNI) Haryana police has granted licences to over 1,000 private security agencies while 137 licenses have been renewed after the enactment of the Private Security Agencies Regulation Act (PSARA) 2009, in the country.
The Private Security Agency (Regulation) Act (PSARA), 2005 (29 of 2005), was enacted and notified by the central government on March 15, 2006, to regulate the working of the private security agencies in the country.
Haryana Government has further made rules regulating the grant or renewal of license under the act. This act is enforced through a Controlling Authority.
