College alumni concerned over survey of Baramulla-Uri railway track conducted by Northern Railways

Srinagar, Mar 31 (UNI) The alumni of Government Degree College Baramulla have raised concern about the recent survey conducted by railway authorities by which a section of the proposed railway track is to pass through the playground of the college.
An emergency meeting by the alumni of the college was presided over by Prof. Mohammad Ismail on Saturday, during which serious concerns were expressed about the preliminary survey conducted by the railway authorities by which a section of the proposed railway track is to pass through the playground of the college.
A statement issued after the meeting said the alignment was almost bisecting the college premises into two parts, rendering the college ground dysfunctional for all outdoor sports and other socio-cultural activities.
