Moderate intensity earthquake in Kangra valley, Chamba of HP

Dharamsha, Apr 4 (UNI) An earthquake of 5.3 magnitude rocked Kangra valley and Chamba of Himachal Pradesh on Thursday.
The tremor was experienced this evening.
According to Met department, a moderate intensity of earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale occurred on Thursday at 2134 hours, with latitude of 33.09 and longitude of 76.59 and at the depth of 10 Km, with its epicentre in Chamba of Himachal Pradesh in north India.
According to the sources in police control room at Dharamshala, there was no report of loss of life or property from any parts of Kangra valley till filing of this report.
Today's earthquake coincided with disastrous earthquake that happened on this day 119 years ago in 1905, which left thousands of people dead and a trail of devastation in Kangra.
