Amethi (UP), Apr 3 (UNI) Union Minister Smriti Irani has become a voter of Amethi parliamentary constituency and will exercise her franchise for the first time in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Smriti had recently built her house in Medan Mavai village of Gauriganj and her name has been registered in the voter list at the same address. She applied for enrollment in the voter list on the address of her newly constructed house.
Union Minister's representative Vijay Gupta said that the Union Minister and local MP considers Amethi as her family and she has got her residence built here to live among the family. He said with the construction of the house, she also started the process of getting registered as a voter from Amethi.
