Deoria (UP), Apr 9 (UNI) National Spokesperson of Congress and candidate from Deoria Akhilesh Pratap Singh on Tuesday said that everyone wishes that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra should contest elections from Amethi and Rae Bareli from the INDI alliance.
While talking to the reporters at the party office here, Singh said whether it's Amethi or Rae Bareli, both the Lok Sabha constituencies are traditional seats of the Nehru family. "Along with the people of Amethi and Rae Bareli, the people of the state and Congress wish that Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi should contest elections from Amethi and Rae Bareli," Singh said.
He, however, said that it is up to Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi whether they want to contest from there or not. "But everyone wishes that they should contest elections from there," he said.
