UP govt starts state's first emergency operation training centre

Lucknow, Feb 29 (UNI) In a move towards disaster preparedness in Uttar Pradesh, the state government inaugurated the state's first State Emergency Operation Centre training facility 'Rahat Gurukulam' on Thursday.
This state-of-the-art center aims to provide disaster management training not only to the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) but also to the general public across the state. This initiative aims to cultivate a robust cadre of trained individuals across the state, poised to effectively respond to disasters and minimise loss of life and resources.
It may be noted that the state government places great emphasis on reducing casualties caused by disasters in the state. As part of this commitment, the government had directed the Relief department to establish its own training centre.
