Kanpur, Sep 14(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Kumar Lallu and Congress legislature party leader Aradhana Mishra Mona along with hundred of congress workers were arrested here on Monday when they were going to Mahoba to meet the family members of a trader who was killed by criminals recently.
The Congress leaders were stopped at the Ghatampur crossing in the outskirts of the city and were not allowed to proceed. Later when the Congress leaders were adamant to proceed, the police took them into custody and were taken to a guest house, where the supporters raised slogans against the government.
