Revolt in BSP in UP

Lucknow, Oct 28 (UNI) The Bahujan Samaj Party's 'secret deal' with the Bharatiya Janta Party caused the worst-ever embarrassment for BSP chief Mayawati, when her own Party MLA's revolted against her step.
They moved ahead to go with the Opposition camp, to ensure defeat of BSP candidate and a big humiliation for Mayawati before the 2022 Assembly polls.
BSP, which tasted power in UP by stitching an alliance with the SP in 1993 and then with the saffron party in 1995, has faced many defections in the past, but an open revolt by five MLAs against its official Rajya Sabha nominee of the party signifies towards weakening of Mayawati’s control over Party leaders, and also that she lost moral authority to take decisions independently.
