All arrested leaders will be released like Sanjay Singh: Akhilesh Yadav

All arrested leaders will be released like Sanjay Singh: Akhilesh Yadav

Kannauj (UP), Apr 2 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday welcomed the release of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and MP Sanjay Singh and said that all the opposition leaders, who are being arrested on the pretext of Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) at the behest of the government, will be gradually released by the courts.
Talking to the reporters after addressing the party's workers conference in Kannauj, on being asked about the bail being granted to AAP MP Sanjay Singh, Akhilesh said, "I hope that gradually the courts of this country will release everyone and truth will prevail. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has collected donations by showing fear of ED, CBI and other government agencies."
He said that the BJP government is scared of the unity of the India Alliance. "Opposition leaders are being defamed by filing fake cases. We all have expectations from the judiciary. The court will support the truth. Gradually all the leaders will be released. The BJP government has implicated Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, SP general secretary Mohammad Azam Khan and his family and SP MLA Irfan Solanki in false cases," he alleged.
The SP chief said that these leaders have been sent to jail out of hatred to suppress the voice of the opposition. "This time the people will vote against the injustice and false cases of BJP in Lok Sabha polls," he said.
He said that this time the Lok Sabha elections will be against BJP's donation collection, increased inflation and unemployment. "Corruption is at its peak in the BJP government. For the first time in the history of the country, recovery is being done by showing fear. By showing fear, BJP extorted money from many companies in the name of electoral bonds," he said.
Akhilesh alleged that the BJP government has discovered new ways of corruption and loot. "Papers of 10 competitive exams were leaked during this government. The BJP government betrayed the youth. BJP's intention is not to provide jobs," he said.
He said that the BJP government has stopped the development of the state including Kannauj. "The development works done under the SP government were stopped. Kannauj was recognised for its fragrance and development. Now it is known because of the misdeeds of a BJP MP. A few days ago, the BJP leader insulted the people of Lodhi community," he said.
