BJP government ending employment under the guise of privatization: Akhilesh

Lucknow, Oct 6 (UNI) Supporting the demand to withdraw the proposal of privatization by the electricity workers, Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday said that in the garb of privatization, the BJP government is ending employment.
Mr Yadav said that 15 lakh electricity employees have gone on a strike. A mess started in the power sector since the BJP came to power. One unit of electricity was not produced in three and a half years. The power supply was not found in the village for more than 10 hours and in cities for more than 15 hours, consumers are being harassed by holding out long bills.
Mr Yadav said that the BJP government is taking steps in the direction of privatization of tolls, mandis, ITIs, polytechnics, government goods, airports, railways and insurance companies. Tenders are being sought to sell railway hospitals. It has been decided to abolish 50 percent of the posts in the vacant posts after retirement.
