SAD condemns murder of Samrala Youth wing president

Chandigarh, Aug 12 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Wednesday condemned the brutal murder of its Samrala Rural Youth wing president Ravinder Singh Sonu and demanded that the latter’s murderers be arrested immediately.
In a statement here, SAD legislative wing leader Sharanjit Singh Dhillon said the murder of Ravinder was testimony to the law and order situation in the State. He described the killing of Ravinder as a political murder and demanded that Congressmen behind it should be arrested and put behind bars immediately.
Mr Sharanjit Dhillon said this was the second murder in the village with Ravinder’s brother Gurpreet Singh being hacked to death seventeen months back. “It is clear that the police did not take sufficient steps in the Gurpreet murder case because of which another young man has lost his life”.
