Phagwara, Sep 27 (UNI) After break-up of their 23 years old alliance now both Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) and Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders on Sunday started defending the stands of their respective political parties.
Describing the break up of alliance as 'most unfortunate' step taken by the SAD leadership, senior BJP leader and former Punjab minister Madan Mohan Mittal said it was the frustration of the SAD only.
Talking to UNI, Mr Mittal said SAD was politicizing the farmers issue while NDA led Union Government is committed to work to safeguard the interests of the farmers.
