Disqualified MLA Rajinder Rana steps down as Himachal Congress working prez

Forwarding copy of his resignation to Congress president Malikarjun Khadge AICC general secretary V C Venugopal, state Congress in-charge Rajiv Shukla and HPCC president Pratibha Singh, Rana said he has resigned from the post of working President of HPCC with immediate effect.
It is worthwhile to mention that the sword of suspension from the HPCC was hanging on Rana as he was one of six Congress members who cross-voted in the February 27 Rajya nsabha poll. Mr Sudhir Sharma was terminated from the post of secretary of AICC on today by Congress president Malikarjun Khadge.
The six MLAs who are continue holed up in a five star luxury hotel in Punchkula and extended security by the CRPF and Haryana pice after they cross vote in favour of BJP candidate Harash Mahajan on February 27. Other disqualified MLA include Ravi Thakur of Lahaul Spiti, Inderdut Lakhanpal of Badsar, Devinder Bhuto from Kutlehar and Chetyana Sharma from Gagret.
