Take every small incident seriously, no one should be allowed to take law in their hand: CM

Lucknow, Oct 12 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued instructions to officials to be extra vigilant in view of the festival season.

He said that the rioters should be videographed and if anyone tries to take the law in their hands, then their accountability will be fixed.

Forewarning officials of a possible conspiracy to disrupt public peace, law and order during the festival season, the chief minister on Tuesday called upon the police and administrative machinery to be watchful against such miscreant elements and ensure that strict preemptive action is taken against them.
He gave these instructions to the district level officers through video conferencing regarding law and order, paddy procurement and cleanliness etc. He said that taking every small incident seriously, strict action should be taken immediately and to ensure that no one is allowed to take the law into their own hands, whoever it might be.
The chief minister also asked officials to continue the process of dialogue with Durga Puja committees, religious leaders, farmer organizations, civil society at every level. Do effective patrolling and communication at all levels, he added and said that the timing and direction of patrolling should be different.
Seeking everyone’s cooperation, the CM said festivals should be held in a peaceful manner. He also instructed the officials regarding the purchase of paddy to ensure that the paddy is procured from the farmers at any cost. Open additional purchasing centers as needed and be careful of the incidents of stubble burning in advance and make the farmers aware, the chief minister stated.
He also warned officials of strict action if any laxity is found in paddy purchase. He instructed that special attention should be paid to cleanliness. Water logging should not be a problem due to excessive rainfall. Ensure supply of sprinkling, fogging, electricity and pure drinking water around religious places.
Make sure the route and venue of the idol immersion in advance and that there shouldn't be any confusion about this. If there is a problem somewhere, then give the option first, then solve it by making a dialogue, the chief minister underlined.
He instructed that on the day of Vijayadashami, extra caution should be taken while burning the effigy. Reminding officials of the unfortunate incident that happened in Punjab two years ago when the train went off trampling people, he said such an incident should not happen and for this reason, he said, arrangements should be reviewed at the police station level.
Yogi Adityanath also directed the DM and CVO to review the destitute cows at the district level. and directed to fix accountability for non-delivery of funds in Bahraich, Hamirpur, Gonda and Lucknow districts under the nutrition mission. Along with this, he gave instructions to make adequate arrangements for cleanliness and fodder in the cow shelters.
CM Yogi has also given strict instructions regarding hoarding of food items. He said that under no circumstances should black marketing and hoarding be allowed. The food department and the administration team should jointly conduct raids against such people and take strict action. He has given instructions to jointly patrol the police, administration and the Excise Department to check illegal liquor.
He instructed that officials should read the instructions of the government themselves and not rely on subordinate staff to go through files. In the near future, people from other states will return to their homes due to Diwali and Chhath, and all such people must be tested for corona, he stressed.
He directed that DAP fertilizers should be made easily available to the farmers. Strike a balance between demand and supply in every district. Those who create conditions for artificial shortage of DAP should be dealt with strictly. The state-wide campaign to make the roads pothole-free in the state should be intensified and the quality of work should not be compromised, the CM underlined.
