Enhance preparedness for peaceful conduct of upcoming festivals: IGP Birdi to officers

Srinagar, Apr 3 (UNI) Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir V K Birdi, on Wednesday stressed upon officers to enhance preparedness for peaceful conduct of upcoming auspicious occasions pertaining to different communities.
Birdi directed all the Range DIGs and District SSP to assess & enhance preparedness for upcoming auspicious occasions and festivals pertaining to different communities in Kashmir valley.
The auspicious occasions slated for the coming days include Jumat-ul-Vida, Shab-l-Qadr, Navratra, Arfa day, Eid-ul-Fitr, Baisakhi & Ramanavami, holding profound cultural and religious importance in the region.
