J&K: Police attaches properties of notorious drug peddler under NDPS act in Baramulla

Srinagar, Apr 4 (UNI) Police on Thursday attached properties of a notorious drug peddler under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) act in Jammu Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Police said “properties containing 1 Kanal & 10 marlas land and single story residential house worth approximately Rs 20 lakhs belonging to a notorious drug peddler identified as Farooq Ahmad Mir a resident of Zaspora Tangmarg were attached under NDPS act”.
“The property was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/enquiry conducted by Police”, police said and added “the property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in Narcotic drug and Psychotropic substances by the drug peddler”.
